Zoomer

Ok so yes yes, I would have to admit that if you were driving by my house the other day you would have seen a sight which would have either prompted you to screech to a halt or press firmly on the gas petal in the opposite direction. Or in reality, maybe you would have just kept driving because what you witnessed would have probably not been that drastic. Anyhow that day, I ventured into the great unknown of the garage and found my old skateboard from years ago. I took it out to the driveway and rolled it back and forth under my foot a couple of times like a pro. So far so good I thought and proceeded to propel myself forward with one foot resting on the board and the other about two inches off of the ground. I got about two feet, stopped it and then put both feet on it and swayed back and forth. Thankfully a slight breeze was blowing so any observers would obviously assume my motion was from the wind and not from my lack of err expertise. So back and forth I swayed and jerked in place until that got quite uninteresting. My old skateboard and I have never really had a good relationship and it has been quite rocky –pun intended- and I have never really actually learned how to skateboard. I guess it is because I am afraid of falling, scraping my knee or knowing me, breaking my arm. But once and awhile, now and then I gather up my fears, bring out the skateboard, pretend I know what I am doing and do couple of rolls on the driveway in hopes that maybe something crazy, like my equilibrium balance, will kick in and I’ll zoom out of sight at an exceedingly fast rate of down the sidewalk.
