Dear God,
Remember that story I used to read when I was little, it was called "In God's Great Way". It was about a child who couldn't understand why her family had to move away and why she had to leave her old life and friends behind. In the end however You provided for her and everything worked out. Sometimes, like the child in the story, I don't understand why things happen and why You change our course and have us move away from all that was sure and familiar and have us step out alone into unfamiliar terrain. Sometimes like the child I don't understand but I must remember You see ahead and beyond and You are the one in the middle of all these situations that we will understand the "why" to later. In Your Great Way, everything has a purpose. In Your Great Way, every sorrow and disappointment works out for our good. In Your Great Way, you are redeeming us, making us holy, and helping us to understand more of you. And, in Your Great Way, You will be our Provider and Healer and our good Shepherd to guide toward green pastures and still waters. You will be the Restorer of our Soul.
